After the end of the war in Europe, ETOUSA briefly became United States Forces in Europe, then United States Forces, European Theater (USFET), and finally United States Army in Europe. The 133rd Battalion of the 34th Infantry Division was the first US Army unit to deploy to Europe during World War II.
